A community group designed to educate and support the proposed 6.9-percent lodging tax in Craig will meet at 6 p.m. today in the Yampa Valley Bank boardroom, 435 Mack Lane.
The meeting is open to the public.
Cattlewomen’s next meeting Thursday
The Moffat County Cattlewomen are scheduled to host a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The meeting is open to all women interested in promoting agriculture.

Fundraising dinner set for Thursday
A fundraising spaghetti dinner benefiting Gary and Anna Thompson is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265, 419 E. Victory Way.
Gary has bone marrow cancer and is traveling to Chicago for treatments.
The cost is $6, or $3 for children younger than age 12. The dinner includes spaghetti, bread, salad and dessert. A cash bar will also be available.
Donations will be accepted at the door or may be dropped off at Sandrock Elementary School, 201 E. Ninth St.

Female hockey players wanted
There will be a meeting for women interested in playing ice hockey at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Moffat County Public Safety Center, 800 W. First St. Players of all skill level are welcome.

Constitution is focus of tea party meeting
A tea party meeting to celebrate citizenship and Constitution Day is scheduled to take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday at American Legion Post 62, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Visitors will be able to “learn about the 28 principles the U.S. Constitution was written under,” according to a news release.
