To the editor:
About six weeks ago, our son, Shannon Wenger, was taken from us in a drowning accident. We, as a family, would like to express our appreciation for all the care and support we have felt from the community. We would like to thank each one of you for the phone calls, cards, and other expressions of sympathy that we have received.
We also want to thank the emergency responders, the sheriff’s office, fire department and any others who may have been there, for responding so quickly and doing what you could to help.
It has been a difficult time for us and we miss our son and brother very much, but we believe God has a purpose for these kinds of things, and we rejoice that Shannon has made his peace with God and was ready to go before this happened.
We look forward to seeing him again in heaven someday, maybe sooner than we think.
None of us knows when our day will come to go meet God.
Are you ready?
