7 a.m. The third preliminary round of the 24th annual Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trials takes place west of Meeker on Colorado Highway 13. A single day pass costs $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 8 to 16. Children younger than 8 are admitted for free. The event includes booths from numerous craft and food vendors, as well as demonstrations from dog experts.

7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Blue Ribbon Kitchens hosts an EPA-certified renovator training class at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265, 419 E. Victory Way. The class will teach safe practices for renovating lead paint–covered surfaces. Enroll online at safeobjectives.com.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at 1150 W. Ninth St. The group is designed to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups. Childcare is provided and late-comers are welcome. Call 824-5926.

11 a.m. The Moffat County High School girls freshmen volleyball team plays Fruita-Monument at the MCHS gymnasium, 900 Finley Lane.

Noon. The MCHS girls junior varsity volleyball team plays Fruita-Monument at the MCHS gymnasium, 900 Finley Lane.

1 p.m. The MCHS girls varsity volleyball team plays Fruita-Monument High School at the MCHS gymnasium, 900 Finley Lane.
