Special Olympics Colorado is inviting the public to a town hall meeting later this week in Craig.
The purpose of the meeting is to hear feedback from local residents on how the Special Olympics is performing and meeting the needs of athletes, families, caregivers, coaches, volunteers and supporters.
The Craig meeting is one of 13 hosted around the state through Sept. 23.
“We want to hear your ideas and get your feedback regarding ways we can work together to enhance programming for all of our athletes,” said Mindy Watrous, Special Olympics Colorado chief executive officer, in a news release.
The Craig meeting is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Holiday Inn of Craig, 300 S. Colorado Highway 13.
Dr. Pam Gunsten, a retired former director of organizational development for the Special Olympics, is facilitating the meetings.

Pool league set to begin today
The American Poolplayers Association league is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. today at Mathers’ Club, 420 Yampa Ave.

Certification class scheduled at VFW
Safe Objectives, a Colorado Springs company, is offering a lead-based paint certification class Friday at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265, 419 E. Victory Way. The class is all day and breakfast and lunch is included.
The cost is $210.
The class is for janitors, plumbers, electricians, roofers, tile and carpet installers, painters, landlords, contractors, remodelers, and those who work with drywall.
