Sports Briefs: CNCC volleyball playing at MCHS Sept. 7

At 6 p.m. Sept. 7, the Colorado Northwestern Community College volleyball team will host Western Wyoming Community College at Moffat County High School, 900 Finley Lane.
It will be the only time this fall the CNCC Rangely campus team will play in Craig.
There is no charge for children ages 5 and younger, adults older than age 65, and MCHS and CNCC students. The cost is $5 for adults and $4 for other students.

Fees need to be paid for free game admittance
Any Moffat County High School student wanting to attend an MCHS sporting event for free needs to have their book fees paid, according to a news release from the school.
Middle school and elementary school students, and students who have not paid their book fees, can get into MCHS football and volleyball games this fall for $4.

Company trying to solicit local businesses
Richard Wildenhaus, Moffat County High School athletic director, is warning the community about a company soliciting local businesses.
An advertising company called Victory Sports is soliciting local businesses, Wildenhaus said, possibly fraudulently. The company is not affiliated with MCHS, the athletic director said.
Wildenhaus is asking any resident or company who has been contacted by Victory Sports to notify him at 826-6553, or richard.wildenhaus@moffatsd.org.
CNCC soccer’s first game is Sept. 19
The Colorado Northwestern Community College Craig campus soccer team is will have its first game at 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at the CNCC Rangely campus.
This is the first year for the CNCC Craig soccer team.
Team practices will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at Sawer Soccer Park on First Street.
