volleyball play today
The Craig Middle School football teams and volleyball teams will play today at Steamboat Springs. Games start at 9 a.m. for both sports at Steamboat Springs Middle School, 5100 Amethyst St., Steamboat.
The games are the last of the season for the seventh- and eighth-grade football teams, both of which have undefeated 6-0 records.
The seventh-grade volleyball team’s record is 7-2 and the eighth-grade, 3-6. Both had home matches with Meeker and Baggs, Wyo., earlier in the week.
Eighth-grade coach Sara Linsacum said the Baggs game was “the closest of the season,” with the team narrowly losing, 2-1.
“I think we’ll do well against Steamboat as long as we play like we have this week,” Linsacum said.
The volleyball teams will travel to Meeker for the district tournament Oct. 16.
