Carol Wilson: Thanks, all who helped

To the editor:

On behalf of the Craig Downtown Business Association, I would like to express our appreciation to the sponsors and participants of this year’s Parade of Lights.

The individuals and organizations that build those lighted floats put in a lot of time, energy, and creativity in order to be a part of this great community event.

Hundreds more residents turn out in the chilly evening weather to cheer and wave. It’s a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit.

The parade is a true collaborative project that involves the Craig Lions Club, prize sponsors — The Copy Shop/Computer Corner, Yampa Valley Electric Association, and Cook Chevy-Subaru — and the community at large.

There are also the unsung heroes of the parade: The city of Craig Road and Bridge Department and the Craig Police Department, who coordinate the traffic control and street barricades.

All of us involved in the annual Parade of Lights hope that everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Carol Wilson
