The John Jarvie Winter Festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 4 at the historic John Jarvie Ranch at Browns Park.
The event is free and open to the public.
In anticipation of the event, the ranch has been decorated in a historical re-creation of an authentic 1880s Christmas. The Jarvie Store has also been decorated with a holiday tree and ornaments.
Throughout the ranch, pine wreaths and boughs are being hung, supplies for crafts set out, games organized, logs placed in the fire pit and musicians are tuning their instruments, all in anticipation of Jarvie visitors.
For more information, contact the Bureau of Land Management’s Vernal, Utah field office at (435) 781-4400 or call the Jarvie Ranch at (435) 885-3307. You may also learn more about Browns Park and the John Jarvie Ranch by visiting www.blm.gov/ut/st/en/fo/vernal/recreation_/browns_park.html.
