Thankful to have friends, family
Thanksgiving dinner, we all think of gathering with family and friends to enjoy a bountiful meal. When the food has been spread across the table most families go around the table with each guest saying aloud what they are thankful for. Usually giving answers such as family and friends, employment and the food that has been provided. While I believe all of us are thankful for these things, I have always found that I am thankful for my family and friends being with me on this particular day! The holidays are mostly encompassed with traditions that involve gathering and celebrating with family and friends. Even if you are one that doesn’t necessarily enjoy the holiday season there is nothing worse than finding yourself all alone on a day that most everyone is enjoying the companionship of their family and friends. This is what I am thankful for: Not to be JUST me on the holidays!
You gotta have faith
A few of the things I am thankful for: my husband, my daughters, my perfect grandchildren (4! and one on the way), extended family, my mean kitty, my warm, cozy home, food on the table, a great job working with great people, my bff (N.W.) and other friends, political debates with unlike-minded people (who don’t get angry), “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Desperate Housewives,” children singing, religious debates with unlike-minded people (who don’t get angry), people who serve our country, that winter is not 12 months long, my daughter’s sweet kitty, a car that starts every day and has heat and AC, reading (especially James Patterson), Bejeweled Blitz (I would be more thankful if I could beat my little brother more regularly), soft fabrics, makeup and hairspray, my public school education, clean water, smiles, tears, good health, and faith — as the song says, you gotta have faith!

Thankful for campfires, mountains, satisfaction
I am thankful for life, love, friends and laughter. I am thankful for my boyfriend who gives me unconditional love and acceptance. I am thankful for my friends, good health, my faith and my ability to accomplish my goals. I am thankful that I went to college and that I have taxes to pay (which means I have a job). I am thankful for the little things in life and for forgiveness, sunshine, private property, the seasons, maps, pets and campfires. I am thankful for the hard times that have make me stronger and smarter. I’m thankful for my parents and their supporting love. I am thankful for fulfilling my dream of standing on many summits. I’m thankful for getting my books published — it is so great to be an encouragement to others. I am thankful to be financially secure and that I am who I am. I am thankful for adventures and that I have things to look forward to. I’m thankful to be 100 percent satisfied and that I have a lot of luck and the grace of God.
Thankful for Him
I am a privileged person. That’s why I’m thankful.
I have been invited into the palace of the King – any time.
It’s not that I’m so great, but I have connections: The King’s Son is a good Friend of mine.
He loves me, and so here I am.
In order to invite me Home to His Father, He proposed to me:
“I paid the blood price to remove your sin, and make you clean. Since your righteousness is like filthy rags, I’ll dress you up in my perfect righteousness. So, when My Father looks at you, He sees you as perfect as I am. That’s the only way you can get in. I’m offering it to you for free. Will you accept my love-gift?”
I said, “I accept!” I’d be a fool not to.
Something else I’m thankful for: He has His eye on you too.
Thank you for our volunteers, love
Bear River Young Life is thankful for the 1000s of hours volunteered, prayers offered and dollars contributed to and for our ministry from the gracious people of Northwest Colorado. God is good and we are blessed to have communities fulfilling the commission of Act 1:8 to “be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” We recognize there are many opportunities to give of your resources and can’t say thank you enough for choosing us. Without your support and God’s provision, BRYL would not exist.
We are also thankful for all of the teens who have allowed us to be in their lives. We pray that we have impacted your lives as much as you have ours.

I am thankful for my awesome, strong brother because when there is nothing to do at my house he always comes outside and plays football with me. When I’m sad he always makes me laugh. When we’re wrestling he never hurts me. And when we’re at the fair waiting in line to go on a ride he lets me cut him. I would never let anything happen to my brother because I love him.
