Craig Briefs: Sandrock Ridge hosting craft fair

Sandrock Ridge Care & Rehab, 943 W. Eighth Dr., will host a holiday craft fair, which includes fall and Christmas items, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. today.

The fair is presented by the Knit-Wits Craft Club and Sandrock Ridge.

Anyone is welcome to visit the fair.

Cancer support group meets today

A cancer support group will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Rehabilitation Services of Craig, 473 Yampa Ave. The meeting is informal, and offers cancer survivors a chance to meet and talk. For more information, call Kim Dilldine at 824-8421.

Food distribution slated for today

The Moffat County Department of Social Services will distribute U.S. Department of Agriculture food supplements from 9 to 11 a.m. today at 595 Breeze St, in the northeast alley entrance only.

Distribution in Maybell is scheduled for 9 to 9:30 a.m. Nov. 24 at the Maybell Community Center. Dinosaur distribution will take place at 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the social services office in Dinosaur.

Daily Press seeks thankfulness pieces

In honor of Thanksgiving, on Nov. 25, the Craig Daily Press is soliciting written pieces about why you’re thankful this holiday season.

Entries should be 150 words or fewer and should be e-mailed to Michelle Balleck at mballeck@craigdailypress.com or dropped off at the Daily Press office, 466 Yampa Ave. Include the full name of the author, phone number and ages for those ages 18 and younger.

The deadline for submissions is Nov. 18. All accepted entries will be published in the Nov. 25 edition of the Craig Daily Press.
