Craig Briefs: Newspaper seeks thankfulness pieces

In honor of Thanksgiving, on Nov. 25, the Craig Daily Press is soliciting written pieces about why you’re thankful this holiday season.
Entries should be 150 words or fewer and should be e-mailed to Michelle Balleck at mballeck@craigdailypress.com or dropped off at the Daily Press office, 466 Yampa Ave. Include the full name of the author, phone number and ages for those ages 18 and younger.
The deadline for submissions is Nov. 18. All accepted entries will be published in the Nov. 25 edition of the Craig Daily Press.
Reduced price pet adoptions extended
The Humane Society of Moffat County is continuing the animal shelter discount adoption fee through today. Any dog or cat can be adopted for $60 each. The fee includes spay, neuter and vaccinations.

Craft fair slated for Tuesday
Sandrock Ridge Care & Rehab, 943 W. Eighth Dr., will host a holiday craft fair, which includes fall and Christmas items, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The fair is presented by the Knit-Wits Craft Club and Sandrock Ridge.
Anyone is welcome to visit the fair.

Rehab Services hosts support group
A cancer support group will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Rehabilitation Services of Craig, 473 Yampa Ave.
The meeting is informal, and offers cancer survivors a chance to meet and talk.
