Craig Briefs: Holiday Craft Show begins today

The Holiday Craft Show is scheduled for noon to 7 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way.

The craft show features more than 80 vendors selling jewelry, food, candles, bath products, toys and many more gift items.

Pneumonia vaccines offered by VNA

Today is World Pneumonia Day, the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association reported in a news release.

The VNA advised that anyone who smokes or has an underlying health condition receive the pneumonia vaccine.

The vaccine is available to adults for $14.

DAR meeting slated for Saturday

The Augusta Wallihan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will host its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Museum of Northwest Colorado.

Club set to host Sunday turkey shoot

The Craig Trap Club is hosting a turkey shoot at 10 a.m. Sunday at the club, two miles west of Craig on U.S. Highway 40. Shotguns only. The event is open to the public. For information, call Dick King at 824-6544 or 824-3924.

Reduced price pet adoptions extended

The Humane Society of Moffat County is continuing the animal shelter’s discount adoption fee through Monday.

Any dog or cat can be adopted for $60 each. The fee includes spay, neuter and vaccinations. Visit www.petfinder.com to see what animals the shelter has available.
