Senior Spotlight for Nov. 9

I remember when I was a child, reading the story and later seeing the movie, “Bambi.”

I felt bad when I read the book. I cried when I saw the movie, even though I knew what was going to happen.

Now, years later when I see deer going by my window almost every evening, heading for the back of our building here at Sunset Meadows, I wonder how many Bambis will be left.

Due to circumstances beyond their control, some already are showing signs of gauntness.

I’m sure the weather will take its toll.

In the meantime, I wonder if I’ll see the deer going by my window in the night.

One thing I’m sure of is happy birthday to Justin and Vicki Gallegos, and all of you who have birthdays this week.

Speedy recovery/get well wishes to Harry Seip, Seth Boesch, Mary Balie, Paula Espino, and all our servicemen and women, wherever they are.

There will be a Communities Overcoming Meth Abuse meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Moffat County Public Safety Center. Come see what COMA represents.

On Thursday, Veterans Day, there will be no bus service or meals at Sunset Meadows.

Remember to pay your respects and put your flag out on this day.

There will be a holiday crafts show Friday and Saturday at Centennial Mall.

There will be a noon potluck Friday at Sunset Meadows I.

Bingo follows.

Come join us.

News is always welcome. Call me at 824-2139.
