Craig Briefs: Libraries to close for Memorial Day

All branches of the Moffat County Libraries will be closed Saturday through Monday in observance of Memorial Day, the library reported in a news release.

Library branches are scheduled to reopen Tuesday, June 1.

Free car show part of festival in Craig

Grand Olde West Days, scheduled for Saturday, Sunday and Monday in Craig, will include a free car show Monday during the Memorial Day Street Festival.

Registration begins at 7 a.m. in the 400 block of Yampa Avenue. At 11 a.m., voting will take place for the People’s Choice award, and the award, accompanied by a $250 prize, will be presented at 2:30 p.m.

MCHS class of 1985 reuniting next week

The Moffat County High School class of 1985 will be celebrating its 25-year class reunion next week.

There will be a social gathering at 6 p.m. June 4 at the OP Bar and Grill.

There will also be a barbecue at 3 p.m. June 5 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265, 419 E. Victory Way.

Car Care Clinic set for June 5 in Craig

A Love INC Car Care Clinic for single mothers, senior citizens and residents who are disabled is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon June 5 at the Journey at First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St.

Volunteers check vehicles bumper to bumper free of charge, by appointment only.

The clinic is a Journey at First Baptist small group project.
