Shepherd: Lions Club news update

To the editor:

The theme for the annual Grand Olde West Days parade Saturday is to honor the history of the event: 20 Years of Grand Olde West Days.

The parade is scheduled for 2 p.m. and will gather at the south side of Craig Middle School, along Ninth Street, beginning at 1 p.m.

The Craig Lions Club 9Health Fair at the first of the month was a success, with 500 people taking advantage of the blood draws, blood pressure examinations and various health screenings.

The club thanks all those volunteers who contributed their time and knowledge, and the facilities at Sunset Meadows II and Sunset Elementary School.

A special thanks to Red Cortner, who donated 20 cases of bottled water, which was necessary for participants to use to make the blood draws go more smoothly.
