BLM reopens Cedar Mountain road
The Bureau of Land Management has reopened the upper portion of the Cedar Mountain road to motorized vehicles.
The road, which is five miles northwest of Craig, was closed Feb. 3 to protect nesting raptors.
The BLM’s Cedar Mountain Management Plan allows for a seasonal closure of the road when necessary to reduce disturbances to nesting raptors and help prevent nest abandonment.
“We appreciate the cooperation we received from the public in observing this closure,” Acting BLM Little Snake Field Manager Dave Blackstun said.
For additional information regarding this seasonal closure, call BLM Wildlife Biologist Desa Ausmus at 826-5019.
