May flowers are bursting out — Dandelions galore are sprinkling yards with color, nature’s quilt perhaps.

We’re glad to see it, aren’t we? Depends on if you’re the one who has to mow the lawn, rid the yard of weeds and tend to whatever yard work needs doing.

Hey, spring is here.

Yep, snow is in the forecast, but it’s not bad, considering what’s going on in other parts of our wonderful, colorful country. Each day brings summer closer.

In the meantime, we have birthdays for Charles Gallegos, Dorothy Cox, Sara Masterson, Judy Wheeler, Earl Updike, Dora Dalton, George Davidson, Laura Perry and Christeens Tabor.

Get well/speedy recovery to Theda Edwards, Jim Wells, Jack Gray, George Davidson, Rod Durham and Vicki Schmidt.

Congratulations to the Special Olympics kids. They were outstanding as usual.

The Hometown Heroes community picnic is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Craig City Park.

The AARP safety driving class is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday in the rec room at Sunset Meadows I. For more information, call Beverly Chapman at 824-5123.

The noon potluck is at noon Friday at Sunset Meadows I.

Bingo follows.
