— A Hayden woman was killed Saturday evening in a one-vehicle rollover wreck north of Hayden, Colorado State Patrol Sgt. Scott Elliott said.

Kimberly Fournier, 41, of Hayden, died after being ejected from and pinned underneath an SUV on Routt County Road 80 about two miles north of Hayden. Fournier was driving east on C.R. 80 when she lost control of the vehicle on a curve, Elliott said. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and rolled 1 1/2, he said.

Fournier was not wearing a seat belt, and no one else was in the vehicle, Elliott said. The roads were dry and weather conditions were good at the time of the wreck, he said.

The call to emergency responders came at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Colorado State Patrol was handling the investigation. The Hayden Police Department, Routt County Sheriff’s Office and West Routt Fire Protection District also responded.

Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg arrived on scene at about 7:30 p.m. and left about 30 minutes later. He said an autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of death.

Elliott said more information about the circumstances and potential cause of the wreck would be available late Saturday or early today. A phone number for Fournier’s family could not be found late Saturday.
