The Craig Beautification Committee is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. today at the Craig Chamber of Commerce, 360 E. Victory Way. The meeting is open to the public.

Tea Party set to meet Wednesday
Moffat County Tea Party members are scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Serendipity, 576 Yampa Ave.
“Any and all interested people who believe in the Constitution of the United States of America as set forth by our forefathers,” are invited to attend the meeting, according to a news release from the party.

Newspaper seeking new Editorial Board
The Craig Daily Press is seeking three to four people to participate on its next Editorial Board, which begins Monday.
Editorial Board members meet from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays to discuss the newspaper’s opinion pieces for that week’s Wednesday and Saturday editions.
Editorial Board terms last three months.

Pet Mates Calendar Contest under way
The Humane Society of Moffat County’s 2011 Pet Mates Calendar Contest has begun. The contest is free.
Enter by submitting your digital photos to HSMC2011@yahoo.com by May 17. Photos must be horizontal, jpg, at least 200 dpi and 6 inches wide. E-mail the photo as an attachment and do not reduce in order to e-mail.
Include the following information: Pet name and age, and owner(s) name and e-mail address. The photo must have been taken in the last year, the pet must be alive and live in your home. Limit two entries per family. After the deadline, the photos will be judged by local businesses to narrow the field to 24.

Vote on Moffat County’s best
The Craig Daily Press is hosting “The Best of Moffat County” contest and invites residents to vote on their favorite businesses and people.
Residents can cast their votes by visiting www.craigdailypress.com/bestof/ by April 5.
“The 2010 Best of Moffat County” results will publish in the Craig Daily Press on April 30.
Church beginning Quran Study Group
First Congregational United Church of Christ, 630 Green St., is beginning a Quran Study Group, which starts from 11 a.m. to noon today, and will run on Tuesdays.
Pastor Bob Woods is leading the group.
