The Craig Daily Press, Yampa Valley Bank and Craig/Moffat Economic Development Partnership are sponsoring a Money Matters event at 7 p.m. today at the Moffat County High School auditorium, 900 Finley Lane.

Dr. Richard L. Wobbekind is the Associate Dean for MBA and Executive Programs, Associate Professor of Business Economics and Finance, and Executive Director of the Business Research Division at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

He will present valid information about today’s economic situation, how we got here, where we are at and where we are going. This presentation will allow you to make decisions to positively impact your home or business finances.

Tonight’s event is open to the public.

Goodbye and congratulations

Advertising manager Renee Campbell has left the Daily Press to go work at the Holiday Inn of Craig as the new director of sales and marketing.

Campbell starts her new position today and will spend two weeks training in Boise, Idaho.

You can call Renee to congratulate her at 824-4000 or visit her at the 300 S. Colorado Highway 13 location.

New visitors center opens at campground

The Craig Campground, formerly the KOA campground, is located at 2800 E. U.S. Highway 40 in Craig.

Owner Patt McCaffrey said many customers simply were stopping by for directions. Hence, she made some changes and redesigned and remodeled the inside of the campground office.

Using all local contractors, she changed the flow of the building to be more customer-friendly, allowing for better customer service.

Recently, McCaffrey hired Melody Villard to be the new director of Craig Campground, which is now offering visitors center services at the same location.

To find out more information, call 824-5105, or visit the location on Highway 40. You also can visit the campsite’s Web site, www.thecraigcampground.com, or the visitors center Web site at www.visitmoffatcounty.com.
