The Memorial Hospital Medical Clinic target of break-ins

The Memorial Hospital’s old campus has been the target of four break-ins over the last six weeks.

Four attempted break-ins have been reported to the Craig Police Department, although none of the attempts have been successful.

The building at 785 Russell Street formerly housed The Memorial Hospital for 60 years. When TMH moved to its new facility in November 2009, the old campus was transformed into a home for the TMH Medical Clinic, orthopedic surgery, urology and obstetrics.

Shandy Deakins, clinical practice manager at the clinic, said she and the health care providers in the building are concerned for the protection of medical equipment and computers.

She said confidential patient information remains locked and safe.
