Craig briefs: Local bar to host St. Patrick’s Day event

Mather’s Club, 420 Yampa Ave., will offer the public free meal of corn beef and cabbage in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day at 6 p.m. Wednesday in downtown Craig.
The event is open to the public.
D.C. trip open to all in the community
The We See D.C. Group has openings for this summer’s trip to Washington, D.C., and Williamsburg, Va. The trip is open to all community members and any student in the sixth through ninth grades.

Census job testing at Workforce Center
The Census Bureau will be offering a full day of pre-employment testing Thursday at the Colorado Workforce Center, 480 Barclay St.
Test times will be 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Two forms of identification are required. A driver’s license, social security card, birth certificate or a current passport are acceptable.
Jobs still are available for census takers starting at $12.50 per hour and .50 cents per mile.

VNA offering free breathing screening
The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is offering free breathing screenings for patients who have breathing problems or asthma in Moffat, Routt and Jackson counties.
Spirometry testing, pulmonary functions studies, prescription medications, asthma management and education are available.
