Craig briefs: Seuss contest winners named

Almost 100 students entered the Third Annual Dr. Seuss Bookmark Contest, according to a news release from Downtown Books.

On March 2, the store named the following students as award winners: Caitlin Bagley, an East Elementary School third-grader, first place; Jack Doane, Sunset Elementary School first-grader, second place; Kyann Kainz, East Elementary School fifth-grader, third place.

Honorable mentions were: Alexei Reyes, Sunset Elementary School first-grader; Christine Harris, Sunset Elementary School fifth-grader; Eric Aragave, Sunset Elementary School fifth-grader; Brendan Beaver, Sunset Elementary School first-grader; Kaitlyn Annilesse, East Elementary School fifth-grader; Carmelita Bays, Sunset Elementary School first-grader; and Christian Reyes, Sunset Elementary School first-grader.



Library board to meet at 5:30 today

The monthly meeting of the Moffat County Libraries board is scheduled to take place at 5:30 p.m. today at the Craig branch, 570 Green St. The meeting is open to the public.

Newspaper seeking new Editorial Board

The Craig Daily Press is seeking three or four people to participate on its next Editorial Board.

Editorial Board members meet from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays to discuss the newspaper’s opinion pieces for that week’s Wednesday and Saturday editions.

Editorial Board terms last three months.

We See DC trip is open to community

The We See D.C. Group has openings for this summer’s trip to Washington, D.C., and Williamsburg, Va. The trip is open to all community members and any student in the sixth through ninth grades.
