Sports briefs: MCHS athletics looking for feedback

The Moffat County High School athletic department is conducting a survey for parents and guardians of MCHS athletes.

Athletic Director Richard Wildenhaus said he is looking for feedback about what is currently working for MCHS athletics and what could be improved.

The survey is available online at www.moffat.ufans.com.

Parks and Rec preparing for coach pitch baseball season

Craig Parks and Recreation is offering coach pitch baseball beginning in May.

The teams are coed, and children ages 7 and 8 can participate.

Games are played at 6:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Woodbury Sports Complex, 350 S. Mack Lane.

Practice will start May 3, with games beginning May 18.

Registration is now open and will close April 1.

A medical consent form must be filled out and returned to Parks and Recreation, 300 W. Fourth St.

The fee is $30 per player.

Youth baseball swings into action May 3

Registration for Craig Youth Baseball for players 8- to 10-, 11- to 12-, and 13- to 15-years-old is now open.

Registration costs $40 per player, but there is a discount for more than one child per family.

The fee includes a shirt and hat.

Players from 8- to 12-years-old will have to travel to Hayden, Meeker and Rangely once during the season.

Players older than 13 will have to travel to Hayden, Meeker, Rangely, Rifle and Rawlins, Wyo. at least once during the season.
