The Hayden High School boys basketball team couldn’t hang on for the win against Holyoke in Pueblo, losing 50-36.. The boys fall to the consolation bracket and will play at 10:45 a.m. today.

Workers successfully broke up a huge boulder threatening to tumble down a cliff onto Interstate 70 in western Colo­rado on Wednesday, days after a rock slide closed the high­way. Crews will have additional cleanup work today along with drainage work and pavement repair. CDOT will “make every effort” to reopen a lane in each direction today.

Although the Moffat County High School boys varsity basketball team finished the season with a 6-17 record, coach Steve Maneotis said the Bulldogs had a more successful year than the record indicated. “Our record doesn’t exemplify the kind of year we had,” he said.
