Pet store The Jungle is in downtown Craig
In the store that Neolithics once was located is now a pet store.
Clint Gabbert owns and operates The Jungle.
Gabbert, as you may remember, hosts a fantastic Christmas lights display during the holiday season at his home north of Craig.
The Jungle specializes in aquatics and reptiles but also will offer small animals and birds. It has an inventory of all supplies, ranging from aquariums to birdcages.
Stop by and see this new store at 565 Yampa Ave. in downtown Craig. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. You also can call the store at 824-5755 or visit online at www.junglepetshop.com.
New chef at VFW Post No. 4265 restaurant
William Klett has joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4265 restaurant as the chef.
Klett was formerly with the Yacht Club in Steamboat Springs until that business closed.
“He has a degree in hotel and restaurant management and an associate’s in the culinary arts,” VFW quartermaster Larry Neu said. “He is a terrific addition to our operation.”
Neu went on to say that the new chef has a large skill set, ranging from appetizers to steaks, and has a lot of experience in preparing seafood.
Once the new chef gets comfortable, the VFW is looking to expand its menu.
You can visit the VFW, located at 419 E. Victory
Way, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesdays through Sundays.
The restaurant is closed Mondays. You call the restaurant at 824-7145 for more information.
