A team of cyclists will ride July 1 through Craig to raise money and awareness for people with disabilities, according to a news release from the philanthropic organization, Push America.

The group will arrive at 2:30 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. Victory Way, for a presentation on bike safety.

The group will also perform a puppet-show to raise awareness about people with disabilities.

The team of cyclists will also have a dinner July 1 with local residents with disabilities at 6 p.m. at Horizons Specialized Services.

The cross-country trip, called Journey of Hope, is a 4,000-mile, nine-week trek sponsored by KRG Capital, Thule and Case Logic.

The event is a program of Push America, the national philanthropy organization of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.

The team will spend afternoons and evenings socializing and participating in activities with disabled people across the nation.

The ride began in San Francisco and will end Aug. 14 in Washington, D.C.
