Craig Briefs: Special Olympics meeting scheduled

A Special Olympics parent and coaches meeting is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Moffat County School District administration building, 775 Yampa Ave.
The meeting is for anyone interested in having their child participate in the games, or for anyone interested in possibly coaching a team.

TMH yard sale set for weekend
A yard sale by the Pink Ladies volunteers of The Memorial Hospital is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday at 220 Mack Lane in Craig.
Appliances, books, clothes, games, toys and decorations are some of the items that will be available.

Coffee shop hosting open mic night
Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave., is hosting an open mic night tonight. Sign up begins at 6:30 p.m. and performances begin at 7 p.m.

Wanda Walker to present at meeting
The Preserving the Last Frontier organization will host its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the second-floor conference room at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St.
Wanda Walker is scheduled to discuss her life in Browns Park. The meeting is open to the public.

Blacksmith at work for Wyman Museum
Wyman Museum, 94350 E. U.S. Highway 40, invites the public to the museum this summer to watch a blacksmith at work.
The blacksmith will be working from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Friday.
Also, a community quilt is now finished and on display at the museum.
