To the editor:
I have been a friend of Moffat County Commissioner Audrey Danner for more than 20 years and, in that time, I’ve had the unique opportunity to work with her in various capacities. I first worked with Audrey and school administrators in the mid-1990s to form Parents & Friends of Moffat County High School, which encouraged adults to get involved.
Shortly thereafter, I worked for Audrey when I was the executive director of Moffat County United Way and she was a board member. I also worked on the Community Resource Directory when she was director of Yampa Valley Partners.
Although I no longer reside in Craig, I still to follow Audrey’s actions as a commissioner in the Craig Daily Press with great interest.
In working with Audrey through the years, I have found her to be a person of integrity and candor in both her personal and business dealings. She has mastered the art of networking and building partnerships, and she always works on behalf of citizens.
I’ve known her to always research issues thoroughly and follow up accordingly, without regard to how those results might affect her personally. She has always been straightforward in her dealings with the public, and is often the voice of reason when it is needed most.
As a Moffat County Commissioner, Audrey studies the issues carefully, uses good judgment in her assessment of them, and weighs her decisions very carefully.
She has worked hard to be the “voice of the people.” The citizens of Moffat County will benefit greatly from her knowledge, dedication, and continued allegiance to Northwest Colorado. It is for this reason that I ask you to vote for Audrey Danner for Moffat County Commission in the Republican primary election on Aug. 10.
