The Moffat County Mud Runs are scheduled for Saturday at Wyman Museum, 94350 E. U.S. Highway 40.
Vehicle registration runs from 7 to 9 a.m., and races begin at 10 a.m. The cost is $40 per vehicle.
There will be eight race classes — four- and six-cylinder, stock, super stock, pro stock, modified, open, and snow machine.
Admission is $8 for ages 13 and older; $4 for ages 6 to 12; and ages 5 and younger get in free. A pit pass is also available for $20.
McMillen competing in Calgary Stampede
Casey McMillen, who grew up in Craig and now lives in Redmond, Ore., is competing in steer wrestling at the 2010 Calgary Stampede rodeo July 9 to Sunday in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
McMillen won the first round of the competition and the $5,500 prize. If McMillen is in the top four moneymakers through today, he will advance to the final rodeo Sunday.
If he is not in the top four, McMillen will compete in a wildcard round Saturday to try and earn one of two spots in the finals given to the wildcards.
McMillen has a chance to earn $100,000 if he wins the final rodeo.
Golf course hosting couple’s tournaments
Yampa Valley Golf Course is hosting the TGIF golf tournament, which is a couple’s tournament, at 5:30 p.m. every other Friday.
Tonight’s tournament is a two-person scramble.
The entry fee is $46, which includes dinner for two provided by the Tin Cup Grill, a golf cart and 9-holes for both players.
The winners will receive pro shop money.
July 30 will be a four-person scramble and Aug. 13 will be an alternate shot format. Aug. 27 will be a two-person scramble and Sept. 10 will be a Chapman format.
The last couple’s tournament is scheduled for Sept. 13. It is called “Bronco Bash,” an 18-hole, four-person scramble starting at 9 a.m.
After the tournament, everyone is welcome to stay and watch the Denver Broncos game.
