It’s more weddings for me this weekend. I’ll be photographing one Friday and attending a second on Saturday. ‘Tis the season for lovebirds.
And ‘tis the season for enjoying this weather. It’s certainly been heating up lately. And I, for one, am loving it. So we’d better get out there and enjoy it while we can.
• Stay outside, and up, all night, all for a good cause.
The 2010 Craig Relay for Life kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday, complete with the luminaria ceremony and words from cancer survivors, and continues through 8 a.m. Saturday.
Local supporters will walk the Moffat County High School track, 900 Finley Lane, throughout the night to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Head up there for a moving experience, some definite fun and to throw your two cents in, or rather, as big of a check as you can write.
• Splish splash.
Moffat County Mud Runs host the second local races of the summer on Saturday at Wyman Museum, 94350 E. U.S. Highway 40.
Registration is from 7 to 9 a.m. with races at 10 a.m.
Admission is $8 for those 13 and older, $4 for 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger. A pit pass for spectators is $20.
So head on down and watch the action or enter your own vehicle.

• For some festive fun just down the highway, make the short drive to Hayden Daze at Hayden Town Park.
The burger stand, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, and the street dance, from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday with music by the Cabin Fever Band, lead off the fun.
Saturday features a parade at 11 a.m., barbecue from noon to 2 p.m. for $10 or $5 for kids, and live music by the Yampa Valley Boys from noon to 4 p.m. On Saturday, there’s also inflatabales, rock climbing wall, games and more fun for kids from noon to 4 p.m., community potluck dinner at 6 p.m. and a grilling contest.
On Sunday, the Hayden Daze Golf Tournament begins at 8 a.m. at Yampa Valley Golf Course. The cost is $30 per person.
The best part of Hayden Daze ? All the fun is free (unless otherwise noted)! Sweet!
