Craig Briefs: Newspaper to host online chat series

The Craig Daily Press is hosting a series of online chats with candidates for Moffat County positions in the next couple of weeks.

The next chats are scheduled for 5 to 6 p.m. today with Kirk McKey, a candidate for Moffat County coroner, 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday with Lila Herod, a candidate for Moffat County clerk and recorder, and 5 to 6 p.m. Monday with Tim Jantz, Moffat County’s incumbent sheriff.

The clerk and recorder and sheriff races are uncontested for the Aug. 10 Republican primary. McKey is running against Republican Larry Dalton, who declined offers to participate in today’s chat.
