Craig Briefs: Pet calendar voting ends Thursday

Thursday is the final day for the public to vote on photographs for the Humane Society of Moffat County’s 2011 Pet Mates Calendar.

Voting will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Farmer’s Market at Alice Pleasant Park in downtown Craig.

Voting is by donation.

The monthly Humane Society of Moffat County meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the Golden Cavy, 538 Yampa Ave. The meeting is open to the public.

The Augusta Wallihan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revo-

lution will host its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Museum of Northwest Colorado, 590 Yampa Ave.

OP Bar and Grill to host Thursday mixer

The Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are having a business after-hours mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the OP Bar and Grill, 534 E. Victory Way.

Elks set to host weekend sale

The Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way, will host an indoor yard sale with an open snack bar Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone with items to sell can get a table for $5 (fee for Elks Lodge members) or $10 (fee for non members).

Items to be sold can range from baked goods, crafts or simply “stuff you want to get rid of,” according to a news release.
