Craig briefs: Holistic offers 2 weight-loss classes

Holistic Health & Fitness, 420 Breeze St., now offers two weight-loss-related classes each Monday.

The first is a free Weight Loss Support Group, which is open to anyone, at 5 p.m. every Monday at the fitness center.

The second begins at 6 p.m., and is a Guided Meditation for Weight Loss class that teaches students how to use meditation and relaxation techniques to help shed pounds.

EDP board to meet Wednesday

The Craig/Moffat Economic Development Partnership board meeting is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the second-floor conference room at the Moffat County Courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.

Lunch will be available for $6 to $8.

Literacy carnival is Thursday at Sunset

The Sagebrush Reading Council is hosting a Family Literacy Carnival from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Elementary School. It is open to pre-school through fifth-grade students. Activities include game booths, pictures, and face painting.

Refreshments also will be available.

Students may bring a book to trade and may also select one new book to take home.

“This is an excellent opportunity for families to have a fun-filled evening and receive a new book for the family library,” according to a news release.

Wyman Museum hosts mixer Jan. 28

The Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are hosting a business after-hours mixer, hosted by the Wyman Museum, 94350 U.S. Highway 40, and MetLife Insurance, from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 28.

There will be food, drinks and a chance to win door prizes, including an LCD HD television.
