Despite having only 30 wrestlers, the Craig Bad Dogs fared well Jan. 16 in a Las Vegas invitational tournament.

The youth wrestling squad claimed third place out of 25 teams.

The team finished with four overall champions, seven second-place finishes, three third-place finishes, five fourth-place finishes, three fifth-place finishes and one sixth-place finish.

Luke Pleasant, Deven Mos­man, Mikey Bingham and Issik Herod all claimed first place, while Kaden Hixson, Jake Shelton, Ethan Powers, Cody Pleasant, Mikinzie Klimper, TJ Shelton and Shandon Hadley all picked up second-place finishes.

Cody Baker, Daniel Caddy and Mathew Moschetti all finished third, while Isiah Herod, Greg Hixson, Colton Hall, Thomas Baker and Chase Rule all had fourth-place finishes.

In fifth-place were Bad Dogs grapplers Dagan White, Drew Rothermund and Spencer Brown. Chris Moschetti took sixth-place.

Dagan White and Shandon Hadley also picked up outstanding wrestler trophies for the number of pins each had in his division.

White and Cody Baker each received recognition for having the fastest pin award in their weight divisions.

Next up for the Bad Dogs will be the Friday and Saturday Beehive Brawl Nationals in Richfield, Utah.

Last year, the team finished third overall at the Beehive.
