To the editor:
Just like many people, I was struggling to find affordable health care.
As a program manager at a nonprofit organization in town, I don’t make much money. Even though I am eligible to get health coverage at work, I chose to be underinsured, to keep more money at the end of the month.
It was a very bad situation, until I met Gisela Garrison, director of the Northwest Community Health Center.
After an eligibility appointment, I qualified to receive services.
Jennifer Mora has been seeing me since September 2009, and it has been fantastic health care; they treat the symptoms, but make sure patients are educated, to prevent future illnesses.
I recommend the Community Health Center to all who are in the same situation I was before: hoping to not get sick.
Thank you, NWCHC, for an invaluable service to the community.
