Clerk to accept credit, debit cards

The Moffat County Clerk and Recorder’s Office will accept any Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit or debit card to pay for motor vehicle services, such as title transactions, registrations or renewals.

The office also still takes cash, checks or money orders, as before.

If residents cannot make it to the office, a clerk official can accept card payments over the phone. The office can be reached at 824-9104.

All card payments carry a 2.7 percent transaction fee, which will be added to each person’s total payment.

Other clerk’s office services, like marriage licenses, still must be paid by cash, check or money order.
