MCHS is now 1-0 in Western Slope League play thanks in part to six fourth-quarter points from Lindsey Yoast.
The Bulldogs, 3-6 overall, 1-0 WSL, defeated Eagle Valley, 35-32.
Yoast scored nine points for MCHS.
MCHS cut into Eagle Valley's halftime lead, albeit narrowly. At the end of the third quarter, the Bulldogs trail their league foe, 23-21.
Eagle Valley gained an edge in Friday night's contest in the second quarter by outscoring MCHS, 10-7.
The Devils' Brenda Zapata scored eight points in the quarter. Lindsey Yoast, Maddy Jourgensen and Amanda Snyder each had two points.
Third quarter play is about to begin with MCHS behind, 16-13.
At the end of the first quarter, MCHS is tied with Eagle Valley High School, 6-6.
Junior Callie Papoulas has 3 points for the Bulldogs.
The Moffat County High School girls varsity basketball team is playing their first home game at 6 p.m. tonight at the MCHS gymnasium, 900 Finley Lane.
The Bulldogs, 2-6 overall, are playing Eagle Valley High School, 7-1, in both teams' first Western Slope League game.
Last season, Moffat County swept the season series against Eagle Valley, 2-0.
