Craig The Craig Concert Association invites all musicians, singers and dancers to try out Jan. 30 for the Local Talent Concert, according to a news release.
Tryouts will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the auditorium at Moffat County High School on a first-come, first-served basis. Tryouts are expected to last three to five minutes.
Those who are unable to tryout Jan. 30 may submit an audition tape or CD ahead of time.
The Talent Concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 24 in the high school’s auditorium. For more information, call Jim Simpson at 824-4138.
County clerk now accepts credit cards
The Moffat County Clerk and Recorder’s Office will now accept any Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit or debit card to pay for motor vehicle services such as title transactions, registrations or renewals.
The office also takes cash, checks or money orders.
If residents cannot make it to the office, a clerk official can accept card payments over the phone. The office can be reached at 824-9104.
All card payments carry a 2.7 percent transaction fee, which will be added to each person’s total payment.
Other clerk office services, such as marriage licenses, still must be paid by cash, check or money order.
Moffat County Clerk Elaine Sullivan added that residents who must renew one or more vehicle registrations will get a mailed notice within the next week.
Mystery author to sign books Saturday
Author S.C. Lang will appear at 1 p.m. Saturday at Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave., to sign his newest mystery novel, “Original Sin.” Books will be available for signing.

Craig Trap Club to begin winter league
The Craig Trap Club is accepting registrations for its winter Polar Bear League, which is open to anyone with a shotgun.
The Trap Club is located two miles west of Craig on U.S. Highway 40.
