VFW hosting senior dinner Monday

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265 is scheduled to host a senior dinner at 5 p.m. Monday at the post headquarters, 419 E. Victory Way.

There is no cost, however, donations are welcome.

VNA hosts seasonal, H1N1 flu clinics

The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association will host two drop-in flu clinics for vaccinations next week.

The first is for seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccinations and is available to all ages from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Elementary School, 800 W. Seventh St. H1N1 shots are free, and seasonal flu shots are $22 for adults and $14 or less for children.

The second clinic is for H1N1 flu vaccinations for adults ages 65 and older from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St. H1N1 shots will again be free.

Class of 1980 plans for 30-year reunion

An organizational meeting for all 1980 Moffat County High School graduates is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Holiday Inn of Craig.

Sign up for new session of league

Craig BCA Pool Leagues will begin a new session in January for those who are interested in playing pool on a team.

The new session starts at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Monday night teams begin at 7 p.m. Monday.

All league games are played at the Popular Bar, 24 W. Victory Way.

Interested residents can register a team in advance of the season or show up to one of the league events and find a team there.

Integrated Community organizing ESL classes

Integrated Community’s English as a Second Language classes take place in the basement of the office at St. Michael Catholic church, 678 School St.

Placement tests will take place at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Dinosaur monument announces road closure

Superintendent Mary Risser announced that Dinosaur National Monument’s Harpers Corner Road, which begins two miles east of Dinosaur on U.S. Highway 40 and runs 31 miles north into the monument, is closed to the public.
