Former Moffat County High School standout Angie Charchalis was named Monday as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference/Baden East Division player of the week.

Charchalis, a 2008 MCHS graduate, led the Colorado School of Mines to victories over Regis University and Metro State College.

In the two games, Charchalis averaged 16.5 points, three rebounds, two steals and two assists, while shooting 40.7 percent from the floor, 45.5 percent from beyond the 3-point line and making all of her free throws.

Charchalis has scored in double figures in each of her past eight games. She is leading her team in scoring at 11.5 points per game — a mark good enough for 17th in the RMAC.

In 23 games, Charchalis has scored in double figures 17 times, including four games with more than 20 points.

The Colorado School of Mines (16-7 overall, 10-5 in the RMAC) will host Colorado Christian at 6 p.m. tonight.
