Senior Spotlight for Feb. 16, 2010

Another weekend full of giving.

Valentine’s delivered, chocolate all gone, snow fun and President’s Day is a day of rest for some.

I watched the Olympics last night and that finished my weekend. I really enjoy the races and the excitement of the people.

Why can’t we keep the torch’s meaning going on after the events are over? No matter if they are in the Olympics, or at home or downtown, etc.?

We have birthdays this week for Randall McFarland, Doris Riemann and Bob Myers.

Get well/speedy recovery to Celest Serrans, Fran Davis, Peggy Lawton, Jerry Teeter, Lonnie Thurman, Susan Weiss, Jim Wells, Betty Rice and Karen Prince.

The AARP meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St.

The noon potluck is scheduled for Friday at Sunset Meadows I.

Keep the Valentine’s Day spirit going and give someone a smile, hug or just a random act of kindness.

Valentines are appreciated any time, and so is sharing the goodness in our life.
