The Moffat County Tourism Association has narrowed its pool of 28 applicants down to five finalists for its vacant director position.
The finalists were selected from a pool that included applicants from around the nation.
“I felt the evaluations went great,” MCTA board chairwoman Annie MacGregor said. “We tried to keep the evaluations based on merit and qualifications alone.”
MacGregor also said that much of the applicants’ personal information was kept from the board.
The director position is charged with the development of tourism within Moffat County through advertising, sponsorships and working with the media, MacGregor said.
