I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas this year. The staff and I at the Craig Daily Press and The Print Shop are appreciative of the products and services you allowed us to provide you in 2010, and look forward to working hard on your behalf in 2011.
As you may be aware of, the next year will bring a few changes in how we do business. We will be moving back to a paid product, like we were in 2005.
We will also stop printing a newspaper on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week.
As I said when we announced this change Dec. 1, I am excited to be able to bring you a product that is more closely suited to this market. There are very few, if any, towns our size that have a daily newspaper.
When you really think about it, the natural news cycle in Craig somewhat lends itself to our new print edition business model because of the following things: weekend events being covered in Monday’s paper; Tuesday brings government meetings from the Moffat County Commission and the Craig City Council that will be published in Wednesday’s paper; and there are sporting events Thursdays and Fridays that will be published in print Fridays and Saturdays.
Our website, www.craigdailypress.com, is a great complement to our print edition.
Stories that will be posted online at www.craigdailypress.com Tuesdays and Thursdays will also be published in print Wednesdays and Fridays. Those of you who only read the print edition won’t miss a thing. Breaking news will continue to be handled the same way it is now, with updates posted on the website, and a full story in the print edition the next morning.
It may take some time for some people to adjust to the new changes, but overall I believe wholeheartedly that the product that you will receive will be the same quality product that you have grown accustomed to expecting.
This product will continue to include quality, accurate and timely news presented creatively alongside advertisements that promote the latest products and services offered by local business that are looking forward to serving you. This product will continue to be delivered by our circulation department as efficiently and effectively as it is now.
We look forward to serving you for many years to come, and once again thank you for your continued support and patronage.
