Karen Vassek: Reindeer scared of Craig

To the editor:

News flash.

Rumor has it that all presents this year will not be delivered by Santa. Instead, they will be delivered by the mail, FedEx, or UPS.

Santa states he is scared to fly his reindeer into Craig as he is afraid someone might mistake them for deer that some people in town are complaining about and trying to get rid of.

That is a horrible letter to contribute to the editor of the paper. Think of the young children who may read snipets of the CDP and read that Santa is not coming to town because of fear over the deer population management proposals. There are many kids in this community who cherish the idea of Christmas and Santa Clause and to totally disregard the potential impact on their holiday season simply to put a political opinion in the paper is abhorring and is evident of a lack of common decency. Please don't cause disruption to the lives of the children in this community because you believe that you are witty. .
