To the editor:
It’s that time of the year again and Kmart and Murdoch’s have been generous enough to allow the Christmas for Kids and Christmas for Seniors programs to put up the Giving Trees again.
The Giving Trees have gift requests from local senior citizens and kids. If shoppers would like to donate a gift, they may choose a gift wish tag, purchase that gift and place the unwrapped, unopened gift in the box next to the tree.
Applications for the Christmas for Seniors program are available at the Maybell Store, United Way and Sunset Meadows I and II. All senior citizens living in Moffat County are eligible to apply for a gift.
Applications for the Christmas for Kids program are available at the United Way.
All gifts and donations stay right here in Moffat County and they are so much appreciated.
If a resident would rather make a cash donation to either one of these programs, they may do so at the upcoming KRAI Holiday Drive on Dec. 8 and 9 at the Centennial Mall.
If anyone has any questions, you may contact Margaret Culverwell, Christmas for Seniors, at 620-7188, or Amber Kawcak, Christmas for Kids, at 261-0545.
Thank you, and Merry Christmas.
