American Legion Post 62 hosts bingo on Saturday evening.

Medicare workshop today in Maybell

Local organizations are presenting a free workshop today in Maybell for seniors enrolled in Medicare Part D.

The workshop is scheduled for 2:30 to 4 p.m. today at the Maybell School. It will cover Medicare Part D (prescription) Plan and Medicare Health Plan updates. Participants can make changes to their current plans through Dec. 31.

Attendees should take their Medicare card and prescriptions.

The Moffat and Routt counties Council on Aging, Colorado Northwestern Community College, and the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association’s Aging Well Program are sponsoring the event.

Lodore Hall hosting Christmas event

A country Christmas celebration will take place at noon Dec. 11 at Lodore Hall in Browns Park.

There will be a free dinner consisting of turkey, ham and all the trimmings.

Visitors should take a wrapped and labeled gift for children, and a dessert or salad to share.

Nativity display set for this weekend

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites the public to its seventh annual nativity display this weekend.

The display will feature more than 400 nativity sets from all over the world.

The display is open from 5 to 8 p.m. today, 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, at the corner of Ninth Street and Finley Lane. Enter through the north door.
