Sports briefs: Company trying to solicit local businesses

Richard Wildenhaus, Moffat County High School athletic director, is warning the community about a company soliciting local businesses, possibly fraudulently.
An advertising company called Victory Sports is soliciting local businesses, Wildenhaus said. The company is not affiliated with MCHS, he added.
Wildenhaus is asking any resident or company who has been contacted by Victory Sports to notify him at 826-6553, or richard.wildenhaus@moffatsd.org.
Last day to join CNCC soccer is Aug. 30
The Colorado Northwestern Community College Craig campus soccer team is nearing its deadline for applicants.
The team will stop accepting applications Aug. 30.
The team’s first game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at the CNCC Rangely campus.
Pratices will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at Sawer Soccer Park on First Street.
