Craig Briefs: Full Parks and Recreation scores

The Craig Parks and Recreation 2010 Doak Walker football season began this week.
In Monday’s third- and fourth-grade games, the Colts defeated Hayden, 20-12, and the Packers edged the Broncos, 20-19.
In Tuesday’s fifth- and sixth-grade games, Hayden defeated the Ravens, 32-12, the Steelers slipped past the Chargers, 25-21, and the 49ers beat the Jets, 12-7.
Third- and fourth-grade teams will play next at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 30, and the fifth- and sixth-graders will play at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 31.
All games are played at Woodbury Sports Complex, 350 S. Mack Lane.
Upcoming races at Hayden Speedway
There will be a Super Street Showdown at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hayden Speedway, 37900 County Road 53.
The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for 7- to 12-year-old spectators and anyone age 6 and younger is admitted for free.
BCA Pool League set to begin September 12
The Craig Billiards Congress of America Pool League will begin at 5 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Popular Bar, 24 W. Victory Way.
There will be another session at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13, also at the Popular Bar.
