John Hickenlooper, a democratic candidate for Colorado governor, is scheduled to visit Craig from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave.

Tourney to benefit Komen foundation

A Rally for the Cure cancer benefit golf event is scheduled to take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Yampa Valley Golf Course, 2179 Highway 394. All women are welcome to participate.

Proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation and the Moffat County Cancer Society.

Kiwanis hosting golf tournament

The 16th annual Craig Kiwanis Club Scholarship Golf Tournament is set for an 8 a.m. shotgun start Saturday at Yampa Valley Golf Course.

The format is a four-person scramble and is open to anyone who wants to play.

The cost is $70 per player for adults and $35 per player for youths 16 and younger.

Each team must include at least one adult player. The first 25 teams to pay will participate.

The tournament is dedicated to the late Dan Ovenden.

There will be prizes for first and second net and gross scores, longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt. There will also be mulligans and door prizes.
